BOILER2024: Shaping the Future of the Boiler Industry

Every two years, the American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) hosts the only BOILER focused conference and tradeshow, a gathering that serves as a catalyst for innovation, education, and collaboration within the boiler industry. While only the second of many future events, BOILER2024 lived up to its reputation bringing together industry leaders, business professionals, end-users and stakeholders to discuss the latest trends, technologies, and challenges facing the boiler industry.

As the demand for energy efficiency, sustainability, and reliability continues to grow, the insights and innovations shared at BOILER2024 are crucial for shaping the industry's response to these evolving needs. One of the standout features of BOILER2024 was its comprehensive lineup of educational sessions. These sessions covered a wide range of topics from emerging technologies and regulatory updates to best practices in boiler operation and maintenance. The knowledge shared during these sessions not only informed attendees but also inspired new ideas and approaches to addressing industry challenges.

Another notable highlight was the inaugural Women in Boiler Industry (WIBI) forum. This groundbreaking event provided a platform for women professionals in the boiler industry to connect, collaborate, and advocate for greater diversity and inclusion. By spotlighting the contributions of women in a traditionally male-dominated field, the WIBI forum underscored the importance of fostering a more inclusive workforce for the future of the industry. A big shoutout and thanks goes out to Shaunica Jayson and the entire WIBI team for cultivating this exciting initiative for the boiler industry.

And let’s not forget the ABMA’s commitment to the future generation of the boiler industry. At BOILER2024, the ABMA partnered with Pickens Technical College to engage the next generation of boiler makers. Pickens welding students created an awesome BOILER 2024 sign that was on display at the show, and the ABMA presented the college with a $5,000 to be put towards their program.

As a leading provider of boiler solutions, Nationwide Boiler was proud to participate in BOILER2024. Our exhibit booth served as a hub for networking, knowledge sharing, and showcasing our latest equipment and innovations. This included our new product spotlight, the Eagle Eye remote monitoring system, offering real-time insights and predictive analytics to optimize boiler performance and reliability. In addition, the “World's First” 200,000 lb/hr mobile feedwater system, a product of Nationwide Boiler, was also on display in the Mobile Boiler Parking Lot. This groundbreaking system represents a significant advancement in mobile boiler technology, offering unparalleled capacity, efficiency, and versatility for mobile boiler feedwater equipment.

Overall, BOILER2024 was a resounding success. From the insightful educational sessions to the groundbreaking WIBY forum, the event showcased the industry's commitment to driving positive change and shaping its future. As the boiler industry continues to evolve, events like BOILER2024 will play a crucial role in shaping its trajectory, fostering innovation, and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come. Mark your calendars, as Nationwide Boiler looks forward to participating again at BOILER2026 in Nashville, TN!

Nationwide Boiler Welcomes 2010

Nationwide Boiler marked the end of 2009 with the annual Power-Gen International trade show in Las Vegas. This year's show attracted over 18,000 people during the three day event and Nationwide experienced a high volume of booth traffic the opening day, which continued throughout the week. Overall, despite rumors that a few of the major show sponsors had decided not to attend, Power-Gen proved beneficial. Along the way, it gave our sales and engineering teams the opportunity to meet with old and new customers as well as with many of our valued sales representatives, industry representatives, vendors and suppliers. If you had a chance to stop by our booth, we thank you! Be sure to mark your calendar for next year's show in Orlando, Florida December 13-16th.

Moving onward into 2010, Nationwide is looking forward to many new opportunities to help solve challenging problems and provide emergency service and support to our customers. Last year we were able to provide immediate support to customers with a variety of needs, both for planned or in many instances, unplanned situations. This included the delivery of boilers across the world as far as Australia and Qatar and involved rental equipment for customers stricken by floods or other catastrophic events. In addition, Nationwide Environmental Solutions easily solved challenging air emissions requirements with the CataStak SCR systems, once again proving that the CataStak can handle any application, whether it is boiler, turbine or heater related.

Ultimately, we have done our best to live up to our values of “integrity, dependability, and real customer service” while continuing to stay innovative and in touch with our customers and the issues they face. To aid in these goals, we are increasing our boiler inventory and will have an even larger selection of new packaged watertube boilers for sale. We are also expanding our rental fleet with the most recent addition of an 800 hp Cleaver-Brooks, 200 psi firetube boiler. Lastly, we are continually on the look out to find new ways to improve our business and our equipment. This includes new maintenance techniques and procedures to help guarantee that when our equipment is delivered, it is delivered 100% problem free. These items have all helped us maintain a leadership position in our industry for the last forty years and we hope that we will continue to thrive and exceed our customer's expectations for another forty years.

If you have any suggestions on what we can do to improve our business, service or support, please send us an email or give us a call. We value your opinion and are happy to speak to you about anything on your mind.

Summer 2020 Tradeshows and Events

Summer is officially here, typically a season jam-packed with tradeshows and conferences for Nationwide Boiler. With effects of the COVID-19 pandemic changing the way many businesses and organizations operate, event coordinators have had to make tough decisions to either cancel, postpone, or reorganize and host their events on a virtual platform. As they say in show business, “the show must go on!”, and we are happy to announce that Nationwide Boiler is participating in two virtual tradeshow events this summer.

Downstream

This is the first year that Nationwide Boiler is participating in the Downstream Conference, originally scheduled to be in Houston this month. The show has gone virtual and we are excited to be participating in our first virtual event along with more than 50 other companies.

Downstream will be hosting new remote virtual access Q&As, breakout sessions, workshops, and audience polls, accessible right from your computer. The tracks being offered are focused on the latest services and technology solutions that will benefit across your entire plant lifecycle. Come and join us on June 9-11 for an opportunity to connect with fellow attendees and potential new partners. And the best news yet, registration is free! Sign up today and visit all of the virtual exhibitors to be a part of this exciting new virtual tradeshow experience.

IDEA2020

Every year, IDEA hosts an industry-wide conference that deals with topics of relevance to its members which includes general sessions, seminars, workshops, user groups and event-specific breakout groups. Although originally planned to take place in Washington DC, IDEA2020 has moved to a virtual platform.

On June 24, join IDEA members and professionals in the district energy, CHP and microgrid industries as we all come together to share experiences, explore new solutions, and learn from each other. IDEA2020 Virtual Town Hall provides the ideal space for industry leaders, energy and environmental experts and business partners from around the globe to discuss the "New Vision for District Energy".

Nationwide Boiler will be part of the virtual exhibition this year and we are ready to discuss how we can support your next project. You can view our company profile under the virtual exhibition, and be sure to join in during the live panel discussions on June 24!

2020 Trade Show Tour Kickoff

Nationwide Boiler’s 2020 trade show tour officially begins next week, and we will be exhibiting at four separate events in the first quarter of the year. We aim to attend multiple industry focused conferences and tradeshows to showcase the many products and services we have available to each industry, and these upcoming events are ones you won’t want to miss.

Our first show of the year is CampusEnergy 2020, taking place at the Sheraton Denver Downtown from February 10th - 14th.One of the main themes of this year’s event is the “Power to Change”. CampusEnergy is a great opportunity for IDEA members, CHP and microgrid industries to come together, share experiences and explore new solutions with each other. Inside Sales Engineer, Luke Honnen will be at the show with our local representative, Dick van der Helm, from Heat Transfer Specialists. Nationwide Boiler has been providing products and services to colleges, universities, and district heating plants for many years. We are happy to support and work together with college and university campuses around the globe to help renew, decarbonize, strengthen and bring the “Power to Change” to these important community assets. If you will be at the show, be sure to stop by the Nationwide booth #102!

That same week we will be exhibiting at the Food Processing Expo, conveniently being held right in our backyard. Typically, a Sacramento based show, the Food Processing Expo is scheduled for Feb 12th - 13th at the Santa Clara Convention Center this year only and will feature a dynamic and exciting array of speakers and workshops. Nationwide Boiler has been providing products and services to the food processing industry for over fifty years and CLFP provides a great opportunity to engage directly with the industry. Representatives from all three of our divisions will be in attendance and ready to discuss your next project - don’t forget to visit us at booth #2128!

Next in line we have Northwest Food & Beverage World, which will take place at the Convention Center in Spokane, WA from February 17-19. This year’s event will include more than 300 booths and over 30 different educational sessions filled with vendors and key speakers representing the food and beverage industry. The food processing industry relies heavily on companies like Nationwide Boiler to provide temporary steam for seasonal production, and we are always ready to support both planned and unplanned projects. We can also provide new and reconditioned boilers, BMS/CCS controls upgrades, and CataStak SCR systems for ultra-low NOx compliance. If you will be attending the show, stop by and check out our booth #1330 to visit and meet with Mike Dorthalina and Matt Pope of Pacific Combustion Engineering, a division of Nationwide Boiler Inc.

The final show of the quarter is the Western Regional Boiler Association (WRBA) Conference from March 31st - April 2nd at the Coeur 'd Alene Resort in Idaho. Another great platform for boiler owners and vendors to come together and discuss updates within the industry. The event will be jammed packed entertainment and education - with 15 different educational presentations that cover a wide range of topics, a casino night, and a dinner cruise on Lake Coeur 'd Alene.
